Alan J. Zuccari, President & CEO, the founder of Hamilton Insurance purchased the company in 1982 and has served as Chairman, President and CEO since the acquisition. Prior to that, he worked for one of the nations largest insurance companies, The Royal Globe Insurance. Alan has over 30 years of industry experience in sales and operations.

Throughout his career, Alan has won numerous sales awards such as; Million Dollar Round Table, American Heritage Life Insurance Company's award for outstanding performance and service, District of Columbia Health Care Association award for outstanding associate business member, the National Association of Health Underwriter's Golden Eagle award 3 consecutive years, Health Facilities of Maryland Man of the Year, and numerous other sales and marketing awards. Alan was also part of the American HealthCare Association (AHCA) sub-committee on tort reform and assisted in the development of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in the creation of the 232 guidelines for professional liability insurance for the long-term healthcare industry.

Alan has gained a solid reputation among colleagues, analysts, insurance companies, and clients as having tremendous insurance and long-term healthcare knowledge, and sales savvy. As a result, Alan has established himself as an industry leader and ranks as one of the Top 10 Independent Insurance Brokerages in the Washington DC/Metropolitan Area for the long-term healthcare industry. In the 28 years under Alan's leadership, Hamilton has grown into one of the largest insurance brokerages in the Unites States in excess of $250 million in annual sales, 150 employees, and several offices around the United States.

In addition to his customer focus, he brings a tremendous knowledge of critical insurance requirements coupled with his understanding of the long-term healthcare business and social implications.

Alan holds a Political Science degree from West Virginia University and is a member of the Mountaineer Athletic Club's Advisory Board and was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of the West Virginia University Foundation.

Alan currently resides in McLean, Virginia with his wife Lisa, and three children: Jason, Jarred, and Sara.
